Pew Packers is designed especially for youth two years old through high school, although anyone can benefit from the lessons. Pew Packers begins 5-10 minutes before the start of evening worship. The kids will meet at the front of the auditorium in the first two pews. Each "class" will consist of strengthening the youth's basic Bible knowledge. We will go through our books of the Bible, both Old and new Testament, run through our Point's Per Chapter, answer Bible Trivia questions, and sing a couple of songs. The lessons and questions are designed to allow our young children an opportunity to learn about the Bible in a way that is exciting and encouraging. The start of each quarter our kids will be given their Points Per Chapter for whatever book of the Bible is being focused on. The students are responsible for memorizing these points to help strengthen their Bible knowledge. Once they feel ready, they can approach one of the elders after services and ask them to "test" them. Once a kid commits to memory their entire list they will be rewarded. (Examples of rewards: bookmarks, books, pencils, candy, trophies, etc.) The beginning of every class will start with the singing of "The B.I.B.L.E." and end with various other songs ranging from "Jesus Loves Me", "Jesus Loves the Little Children", "Blue Skies and Rainbows.". For our older youth (specifically high school) this is a great opportunity to strengthen knowledge they should already know, but also serves as an opportunity to help the younger kids. Parents should encourage their kids to participate and sit with the rest of the youth. Even though we are "testing" children, none of the questions are designed to stump children. It isn't about making them fail, it's about building a solid foundation of God's truth.
