Elders & Deacons

The Bible teaches that each local church should be under the oversight of a group of elders who are assisted in the administration of various works by deacons. Elders are responsible for the spiritual welfare of the congregation and are spoken of as shepherds of the flock of believers. Deacons serve under the eldership to meet the physical and administrative needs of the church and are often assigned to specific areas of ministry.
