Easy Banana Pudding

8-oz. cream cheese (room temp.) 1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1 large Vanilla Instant Pudding mix 3 cups cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla 5 or 6 large bananas
8-oz. Cool Whip (or choice) Vanilla Wafers

Mix pudding, milk, Eagle Brand, cream cheese and vanilla with ½ Cool Whip (save other half). Layer vanilla wafers, bananas and pudding mixture. Top with Cool Whip. Chill.

 

 

 

Cherry Crunch

1 can cherry pie filling
1 box white cake mix (dry)
1 stick margarine --sliced into squares

Layer in order listed into 8" square pan and bake at 350º for 35-45 minutes. Other flavors of pie filling may be substituted.

 

 

 

Cherry Pudding Dessert

Mix together:
  1 can cherry pie filling
1 can crushed pineapple drained
½ large carton whipped topping
1 can Eagle Brand milk.

Chill thoroughly.

 

Cobbler Recipe

Mix together: 1 stick margarine and 1 cup sugar.
Add: 1 well beaten egg, 1 cup flour.

Put fruit and juice of a large can of fruit in a deep baking dish and spoon the dough in. Cook until dough is done and brown on top. You can use any kind of fruit. It is better if fruit juices are not thickened.

 

 

Easy Cobbler

1 cup flour ½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar 3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking powder  

Mix dry ingredients with milk. Put 2 tablespoons butter in bottom of baking dish. Pour in batter and arrange fruit on top of batter. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

 

 

Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches

6 oz. Nestle's Butterscotch flavored morsels ½ cup peanut butter
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet real chocolate morsels 4 cups Rice Krispies
½ cup sifted confectioners sugar 1 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. oleo or butter  

In large pan, melt butterscotch morsels and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Stir in cereal. Press half the mixture in buttered 8x8x2 inch pan. Chill. Set remaining mixture aside. Melt over hot water semi-sweet chocolate morsels, sugar, margarine, and water, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread over chilled mixture. Spread remaining cereal mixture evenly over top. Press in gently. Chill until firm (1 hour).

Yield: 25 squares 1½ x 1½ inches.

 

Home Made Vanilla Ice Cream

Mix in order in top of double boiler:
2 cups sugar 2 tablespoons flour
¼ teaspoon salt 2 eggs, beaten
2 large cans evaporated milk  

Cook the above in double boiler 10 minutes. Stir as you cook. Add 3 tsp. vanilla. Pour into freezer can. Stir in: 4 cups milk, 2 cups water (for harder frozen ice cream use 3 cups water.) Freeze in ice cream freezer.
