CAN A MAN ROB GOD? Note the following popular methods of robbing God: Non Make-up of Contributions — Failing to make up missed contributions when missing services. Net Income Giving — If Uncle Sam is not satisfied for us to figure our taxes on the basis of our net income after we have excluded the house payment, care payment, food, clothing, recreational expenses, etc., why should the Lord be happy when we calculate our giving based on the same leftovers versus gross income? Annual Non Increase Giving — How happy would we be if our employers paid us the same amount today as twenty years ago? Do we expect God to be any different? Creature Comfort Church — Living so extravagantly as to get so in debt that there is nothing left to give to the Lord. Good Cause Alternatives — Despite all of the worthy and needy charitable causes that make demands of our time and money, we should never devote ourselves to these at the expense of what might go to the Lord and His church. “Will a man rob God?
